What is The RMD-50A, And Why It’s Important Today

The RMD-50A is the dedicated bridge that connects your Mitsubishi Electric VRF system's M-NET network directly to the Kenza Cloud platform. A PC, tablet, smartphone, or other terminal device with a connection to the Internet is required to use the RMD-50A.

The RMD-50A is a scalable gateway that allows monitoring and control of up to 50 indoor and 50 outdoor units, making it ideal for multi-zone or growing commercial environments.

It provides advanced remote analytics, including maintenance tool file downloads for detailed system data, refrigerant level checks, and installation verification for CITYMULTI R2-Series branch boxes.

Designed for easy setup, it supports versatile low-voltage power options and connects directly to the M‑NET communication cable, streamlining installation in commercial mechanical rooms while reducing service calls and system downtime.

Who is RMD-50A for: As buildings become smarter and more connected, facility managers and contractors need efficient ways to monitor, control, and analyze their HVAC systems remotely.

Use Cases

  • Office Complex: A facility manager oversees 40 indoor units and 10 outdoor units from one RMD-50A, adjusting schedules and viewing temperature trends remotely
  • Hotel Chain: Each property installs an RMD-50A to monitor refrigerant levels and receive automatic maintenance alerts via Kenza Cloud.
  • Retail Network: Stores in remote areas use RMD-50A gateways to diagnose HVAC issues before dispatching a technician, reducing travel costs.
