Mitsubishi Electric Introduces Wireless Interface 2, PAC-USWHS002-WF-2

Mitsubishi Electric Trane releases a second-generation Mitsubishi Ductless Wireless interface, PAC-USWHS002-WF-2. Like the PAC-USWHS002-WF-1 Wireless Interface, Wireless Interface 2 is used with Kumo Cloud App to control and monitor Mitsubishi Mini Split systems through a smartphone, tablet, or computer. It primarily retains the functions and shares indoor unit compatibility for most of the indoor units supported by the old wireless interface (PAC-USWHS002-WF-2). The PAC-USWHS002-WF-2 is only compatible with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks i.e. Radio protocol: IEEE 802.11b/g/n. It will not work on both Dual-Band (2.4 GHz & 5 GHz) and 5 GHz Wi-Fi networks.

The PAC-USWHS002-WF-2 introduces a second CN105 port which allows for the attachment of the MHK1 as the only compatible control product that can be connected for concurrent use with the wireless interface. The old wireless Wireless Interface PAC-USWHS002-WF-1 had no provision for homeowners to simultaneously use the MHK1 Thermostat kit and the wireless interface 1. One had to either use the wireless interface or the MHK1 Wireless Remote Controller Kit.

N/B: Factory reset of PAC-USWHS002-WF-2 devices manufactured before June 2022 will prevent setup via Android 12+.
