Connecting Your Mitsubishi HVAC Unit to the Comfort App

PAC-USWHS002-WF-2 Installation
Mitsubishi Electric has transitioned from the Kumo Cloud App to Comfort App, a more modern platform that offers a cleaner interface, improved navigation, and a more streamlined setup experience for both homeowners and installers. The process is straightforward, provided your system uses a compatible wireless interface. The Comfort App works with the PAC-USWHS002-WF-1 and the PAC-USWHS002-WF-2 adapters. Additionally, systems with built-in Wi-Fi should work with the Comfort App.

Please note that Mitsubishi’s PAC-USWHS002-WF-2 Wireless Interface operates exclusively on encrypted 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks using 802.11 b/g/n standards. It is not compatible with mixed 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz mesh networks. Your router must therefore support a dedicated 2.4 GHz band with b/g/n protocols enabled. Routers configured to operate solely on newer standards—such as Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), or Wi-Fi 6E (6 GHz)—are NOT supported.

Before purchasing, verify that your Mitsubishi mini-split system is compatible by consulting the compatibility chart provided here. If you need assistance confirming compatibility or determining whether your router meets the required specifications, please contact us for support.

PAC-USWHS002-WF-2 can be used together with the MHK2 wireless thermostat simultaneously or as a standalone. It works with both Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.

Follow the steps below to set up your wireless interface:
  1. Power down all systems (At the unit and circuit breaker)
  2. Remove the cover to gain access to the control board
  3. Connect a Mitsubishi Electric wireless interface to the CN105 connector on the indoor unit board
  4. Return the cover and power up all systems
  5. At this stage, you should now be able to see a steady green light and four quick blue flashes indicating Bluetooth LE configuration mode. The interface is ready to connect using the app. Three slow, blue flashes repeat after the Connection is complete.
  6. Turn on Bluetooth in phone/tablet settings. Log into the 2.4 GHz WiFi network only; if previously logged in to the 5 GHz network, go into your WiFi settings and forget this network.
  7. Download the Comfort App from the App StoreGoogle Play, or Amazon and install.
  8. Go to System Setup, Installer Settings. Enter the 10-digit diamond contractor PIN (Press "Skip" if you are not a diamond contractor). Connect new site or select new site, name site, enter wireless network.
  9. Create an account using your email and create a password.
Alert
Note that the installation should be conducted by a professional installer to avoid any damage or injury.
