Custom Power Taps with Equipment Enclosure and Multi - Tap Transformer

For your custom power taps with equipment enclosure and multi - tap transformer, here are some of the common variants which would have a wide application:

5970-70B6-120-120 (150W, 7 pin, includes dimming control, 120V AC out)

5970-7DB6-120-120 (150W, 7 pin, includes dimming control, 120V AC out, added duplex outlet)

5970-30B6-120-120 (150W, 3 pin, includes dimming control, 120V AC out)

5970-3DB6-120-120 (150W, 3 pin, includes dimming control, 120V AC out, added duplex outlet)

Streetlights play a crucial role in enhancing safety and security within our cities, ensuring well-lit environments for pedestrians and motorists alike. However, their potential extends far beyond illumination alone. By harnessing advanced power tapping technologies that conform to the ANSI C136.10/C136.41 standards, we can unlock a myriad of benefits, enabling the integration of additional equipment such as video cameras, police radios, and cellular routers into existing infrastructure.

In the United States, the most common operating voltages for streetlights are 120 and 240V AC single phase for residential installations; then 208, 277 and 480V AC 3 phase/ phase to ground for large scale installations.  While this is the case, most of the ancillary equipment requiring power from the streetlights need it as 120V AC single phase. This then necessitates the need for a power tap with multi-tap transformer to enable you step down any luminaire/ streetlight voltage from 100-480V AC for a 120V AC output.

Typical Equipment arrangement inside Enclosure

An added enclosure with a backplate for equipment installation comes in handy. It will provide you with:
  1. 4"L x 4"W x 3" D backplate for mounting devices like a cellular router for internet connectivity (larger enclosures available on request)
  2. Multi - Tap transformer to provide wide operational voltage range (100 - 480V AC)
  3. 2 duplex outlets (NEMA 5-15R) for powering equipment inside enclosure
  4. Provision for addition of a Networked Lighting Controller (NLC) onto the SkyPower receptacle to monitor the power consumption of the ancillary load and provide "remote restart" capability
There are different sizes of enclosures  and different power taps (3 or 7 pin) available depending on the equipment requirements.

Networked Lighting Controller (NLC) is a centralized system that enables the management and control of multiple lighting fixtures within a networked environment.

It acts as a communication hub, connecting individual luminaires and allowing for intelligent control, monitoring, and automation of the lighting system.Typically, networked lighting controllers utilize a combination of wired or wireless protocols to communicate with the luminaires, such as Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or Zigbee.

Through a user-friendly interface, operators can adjust lighting levels, create schedules, and implement energy-saving strategies.
