There is this formula for sizing batteries for a solar installation: Battery size in Ah = Total Wh per day/ (Battery Loss x Battery Depth of Discharge x Nominal Batter Voltage). What is the difference between battery loss and depth of discharge? Why do some other calculations have it battery loss as (1 - Battery Loss) in the formula?
