3 pins on a barrel jack
Shopping for a 2.1 x 5.5 mm barrel jack DC connector for a small project I intend to power using a 12VDC 1A power supply. From the images I see 3 pins, does the connector have a grounding contact within the "barrel"? Here's an image:
My intention is to simply mount this on the PCB and I do believe I'll need the grounding to handle any faults. Any thoughts?
